Keith Dyke, the President/Partner at Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc., oversees all aspects of the company, from operations to financial planning. With more than 30 years of diverse mining experience, Keith has a proven track record of mining operations management that improves productivity, lowers costs, focuses on safety and ensures environmental compliance. His management abilities coupled with his experience in mergers, acquisitions and strategic planning help keep Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc. competitive in today’s market while also securing the company’s long-term stability. Keith graduated from West Virginia University at Montgomery with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and then completed his Master’s in Business Administration at Xavier University.
Johnny L. Gaertner, the Controller at Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc., is responsible for all the company’s accounting and financial functions, including the coordination of outside auditing and tax activities. Prior to joining Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc., Johnny was a Vice President and Division Controller for Champion International Corporation where his 25-year career included accounting and control responsibilities for forest resources and for paper manufacturing, sales and distribution. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.
Wesley S. Gilmer, P.E., is Manager of Engineering at Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc. where he is responsible for environmental, geological and operational planning. Wes has served 20 years in the mining and minerals industry. Prior to his association with Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc., Wes served as Project Manager for Titan Cement, an international cement and aggregate producer. Wes has also served in various engineering and management occupations in the Central Appalachian coal mining industry. Wes attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he earned a B.S. in Mining Engineering.
James Thacker is Manager of Surface and Plant Operations for Kopper Glo Fuel Inc. where he is responsible for the day-to-day mining operations. James has been with Kopper Glo since 1990, and his knowledge of the coal reserves and their different coal characteristics has resulted in excellent customer satisfaction throughout his tenure. James has over 30 years of service in the Central Appalachian coal fields, in various positions from underground mining, product sales, Coal Preparation manager to Manager of Operations.
Ron Helton is Manager of Underground Operations for Kopper Glo Mining, LLC where he is responsible for all underground and highwall miner operations. Ron has more than 30 years of experience in Central Appalachian underground coal mining. His hands on experience as a Mechanic, Electrician, Section Foreman, and Operations Manager for such companies as Ikerd Coal, Transco Energy, and James River combined with his excellent management and leadership skills makes Ron an effective manager of this important part of the Kopper Glo Operation.
